ABOUT
As a native of Massachusetts, I recently closed the circle on an adventure that found me calling New Hampshire, Connecticut, and even Minnesota home. Now back in my home state, I am continuing my professional journey as a Data Quality Manager at Medtronic, a prominent med-tech company, where my expertise is dedicated to spearheading multi-domain Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.
While I ultimately found my passion in MDM, my professional journey started very different and has afforded me diverse experiences that have shaped a versatile skill set. Prior to venturing into the med-tech industry, I honed my editorial skills working for a chain of newspapers as well as WFSB.com -- Connecticut's CBS news affiliate -- where I was nominated for an Emmy in Journalism. This early chapter in my career ultimately equipped me with valuable communication and organizational skills and fostered a deep appreciation for the power of storytelling.
Now, with over 13 years of dedicated focus on MDM, I have cultivated a diverse skill set via a variety of roles, ranging from a Data Steward to multiple positions as a Business and Systems Analyst, and ultimately evolving into a Data Quality Manager. My journey in the data space has guided me to a clear understanding that this field was my professional calling.
Throughout my career, I have consistently exhibited a commitment to excellence, approaching every task with pride and unwavering dedication. Recent months have prompted a period of reflection, leading me to refocus on identifying my true passions and chart the trajectory of my career.
While I have always felt a deep satisfaction from my successes in MDM, I also recognize that my expertise extends beyond technical proficiency. I possess a comprehensive understanding of diverse data domains and their interdependencies, as well as the pivotal roles played by business and IT stakeholders in shaping world-class data.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
In my personal life, I find immeasurable joy in spending quality time with family and friends, including my Golden Retriever, Buddy, who came into my life via one of my most gratifying hobbies: past and current volunteer work with various animal rescue organizations.
My contributions in the volunteer space extend across various facets, from dog fostering and conducting virtual and in-person home visits to facilitating prospective adopter interviews. Additionally, it allows me to utilize my creative skills, including content creation that ranges from graphic design to crafting compelling pet biographies that capture the unique personalities of the animals in need.
When not volunteering, I also have long enjoyed photography, a passion which has only increased in recent years as my opportunity to travel has also increased.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Ultimately, my professional journey reflects a blend of technological innovation and creative storytelling. In addition, my personal commitment to the important people in my life and the hobbies I immerse myself in underscore a deep sense of compassion and community engagement. From navigating a complex data landscape to capturing important moments through a camera lens, my experiences and passion for making a positive impact are what drive me every day.
A CLEAR TRAJECTORY
Looking ahead, my expertise in MDM is well-suited to take on additional management responsibilities focused on Master Data Governance and Strategy, as well as proactive utilization of cutting-edge concepts and technologies. In this capacity, I aim to be an asset to a company driven to craft and sustain datasets characterized by high quality, security, ease of use, and completeness that align seamlessly with organizational objectives.
